Wow! Have not blog for quite some time...
I am not abducted by aliens, just busy with my project. 2 projects are running full swing. On top of that, I am now on on a safety course and helping my friend to teach Taekwondo classes on Thursdays.
The Taekwondo class consist mostly of kids, aged around 7 to 13. As my friend concentrate her attention to the young teanagers, I had the opportunity to teach the litle ones...all in all about 6 of them.
Teaching the little ones reminded me when I was 11, when I first joined Taekwondo class. I was obese, so my Mom put me in the class. Anyway, I had fun and loved the class becasue I love Kungfu movies.
Today, I realised that these small kids have alot of potential in them. And they can actually understand the fine distinctions in the kicking techniques just as well as the Taekwondo members in NTU. The only difference is that they have shorter attention span and like to play around.
I also realised because of their short attention span, I have to give more activities and less explaination. No wonder last time my TKD Sir in KL and Singapore just keep giving commands and give very little explaintion. I must adjust to reduce the high C in me for this matter..Hahaha
To do this, I also need to trust that the little kids can do the kicks that I asked them to do. I experimented some complicated commads and moves today and to my surprise he little kids can follow! Only thing is that their moves are not as graceful as I want. Well, I guess just have to repeat it and let them practise.
At the end of the day, what I want to achieve is to help them to realise their potential in their physical abilitis so that they can be more confident of themselves, at the same time have fun leaning TKD.
I feel good and passionate to be ab to pass my skills and positive mindset to the little kids!

Busy Busy August
A busy August following the eventful week!
The project that I am entrustred to started full swing and I worked like a bee...relentlessly working from 8.00AM to 10.00PM on every weekdays! On top of that I had signed up for the Nationals Tournament for Taekwondo! What an experience!
For a long time, I had not in the shoes of a fighter in Taekwondo. The discipline of training and bond of friendships created from the trainings has been absent for years...It was really a pleasure to re-experience all these. Thank you Soo Ee, Jianfa, Jun Hong and Cai Ling. Thank you my lovely wife, who encouraged, supported and cheered for me, MUACKS!
It's also been an experience to be in shoes of player, trusting the coach who sits in a corner watching, observing, analysing and advising what's the best move to use. Thank you Jun Ming for the time and confidence in me. Altho we did not win the match, I am sure you gained wonderful experience as well. Hope I did not let you down.
Through the preparation and the tournament, I learnt alot about myself. Games are often a reflections of behavior...And I am not quite happy with my behavior. I learnt that even though I had improved myself, being more disciplined, less procastination in making decisions and taking action, I found I only put in 99% of my effort.
Come to look back, I really do have the skill, strength, knowledge, experience to win this tournament, yet I only won the 1st round. I lack of that 1% desire and commitment to win. Probably I went into the match without setting my intention right. I just wanted to enjoy the matches and to have fun training.
I even go through the tournament with only minor bruises on my insteps. Maybe kick too hard, *Hahaha*. Hopefully my opponents had recovered blocking those kicks...Well played boyz.
Well, back to the lesson...Lacking that 1% I learnt is like playing football. It took effort to have successfully overcome obstacles and tackles from the midfielders and defenders and I am about to kick the ball into the net to score, I just had fun dribbling and pass the ball back to the goalkeeper. Maybe I had fun but the end result is still NO score!
I am glad and grateful to have the metaphysical to learn from this situation and put in the extra 1% in my life. Hope by sharing, I have inspired you to put in 1 more percent in your life!

What A Week!
What a week this is!
This week started with a busy and hectic schedule at work. It was quite stressful with the client pushing me to start work while there are lots of paperwork to submit before Permit to Work can be issued. The client dragged the contract and also the construction drawing, at the same time expect me to start immediately, with no confirmation on construction drawings.
Coming to the end of the week, me together with my colleague finally get the paperwork ready for starting of work on coming Monday. Although unreasonable, I am quite pleased that things get going in work towards the end of the week.
At the same time, I am committed to training for the tournament about three week's time from now. The bout list is not out, but my match could be on 25 Aug or 26 Aug. Nonetheless, this is the last week I can train to the max before toning down for the tournament. As I had shared on my previous post, Monday's training was darn frustrating. Tuesday's training was even more frustrating because I strained my back on Tuesday!
So I decided to rest for the week for my back and other injuries to recover. Luckily, with the week's rest the injuries did recover! I am back for training next week!
When all seems going well as the weekend was near, I received a shocking e-mail on Friday. A member of the Mastermind Group that I am part of, has given up his privilege to be in this dynamic group. No reason given. I am sure the member had gained as much as he has contributed. My knee-jerk reaction was disappointment...
As I had calmed down, I respected his decision. Whatever his reason is, he had made a decision. I decided to use my energy to move forward rather then dwelling on a decision that had been made, which I have no control of. Let it go KL...
Fortunately, my other member is as strong if not stronger. We carry on with our team...We continued on with our scheduled meeting today and had renewed our commitment to excel in our lives and continue to support each other in our journey. Turned out to be a fantastic meeting with both of us having a deeper understanding of each other.
Sunday, may be start of the week or end of the week, but I am charged up for the coming week! Bring it on, Monday!!!

Getting To Know Myself In Today's Training
I am just back from Taekwondo training, conducted by myself.
When I reached the NTU, I saw no one, so I thought training was cancelled. As I was wandering around, pondering whether I should do my own training, I saw a member. Actually after talking to him, I realised that he's not an NTU student. He's only in Secondary 4. Wow, so young already have chance to train with us in NTU, good for him.
He asked me, "Got training?"
I was thinking, "What the heck, since I am already here, why not? Since only 2 person (including myself), why not make use of the time to improve on some skills." Lesson #1: I learnt that I am responsible for my time here...Good for me.
As we were completing the warm up, 3 more came in. So I improvised my initial training program to sparring. Sparring didn't went the way I wanted, for me. My kicking range was off, and when I sparred with JH, it was even more frustrating. I was tensed and was playing into his game and rhythm, which is not usual for me. Got a feedback that I didn't made full use of the opportunity to give a clear cut score...My interpretation, I need to train to sharpen my kicks. Thanks for the feedback JH.
Lesson #2: I learnt that I loose my cool when things don't happened as expected. Hmmm...This leads to lesson I learnt recently, Letting Go. Is this how I react in life..I wonder...
Anyway, I calmed down and did a debrief on what I wanted the trainees to achieve. Lesson #3: I felt pissed off when I was sharing/talking, someone just butt in. Can't they wait? If it was 3 years ago, I would have jut shut up and let the smart" *ss do all the talking he wants. But this time round, I just put to my point forth before letting him have the spot light. Felt like competing for energy/attention though. Next time have to be more revocable!
The debrief went on well because all of us raised up good points and the trainees learnt a little on self reflection, visualisation and modelling. Hope they will remember the lesson, and hope the enjoyed the session. Also hope they will find the lessons useful in their lives in future.
Though I was not very happy with my performance today, I have a better idea now which area to focus on, in my next trainings.
Now, how can I transfer these lessons to improve my life?

Thank You Oceans 3 For Helping Me Decide
Oceans 3 met up last Monday for our monthly exercise meet. This time round, because of my injury, we went to swim instead of gym. Feels GOOD and FIT after the swim!
After the swim, we had our dinner and update each other as well as giving each other a boost towards our goals.
I am glad the D has reached his decision and had taken action. D, I can feel your energy, zest, enthusiasm and motivation is back! While D shared how good it felt after our making a decision that is true to his heart's calling, I just said a statement even without thinking.
I told the group, "Now my turn to be undecided."
Undecided to go to Nationals Tournament for Taekwondo this year. Havin doubts about my ability, skill, endurance, injury, dadada, dadada...
D just said, "GO MAN!" and J concurred "Yeah MAN! We support you!"
There and then, I felt like a whimp, searching for reasons not to go. Then again, I had been enjoying training and I my beautiful wife is so supportive that I made my decision to go for it!
Since the decision, I felt more motivated and focused in training, be it following others' program or just on my own. With the decision, I leave all worries and focus on the tournament.
No wonder Dom said "Successful people makes decision."
Though there are considerations while making the call, things are clearer and simpler after that!
So look out for this coming Nationals. KL is back!

Beautiful
Here is something beautiful for you from a beautifl being...
Kind words can be short
and easy to speak
But their echoes are truly enless.
-Mother Teresa
If that's what kind words can do, think what more can a kind act do? Reflect on it...

Gratitude
I was clearing a compartment of my bag and I found a piece of paper. On it, I copied a poem "Gratitude" by Melodic Beattie. I showed it to Sinyan and she suggested that I share this beautiful piece on the blog. It was copied from the book "Soul of Money" that I borrowed. I liked the piece very much and I had kept it fo the third month already. So here goes...
____________
Gratitude
by Melodic Beattie
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life
It turns what we have into enough and more
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...
It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events
Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow
_____________
I am grateful that I am able to post this piece today. I am grateful that you are able to read this posting today. I am grateful that this posting is just right for you. I am grateful for Sinyan asked me to share this in my blog. I am grateful. Thank you.

The Beauty Within
I watched "200 Pound Beauty" recently. It is a comedy, a very funny one. Yet, I learn 1 very important lesson from this movie - beauty comes from within.
There's a take in the movie after the main character had her plastic surgery and shed her weight, the plastic surgeon told her that the true beauty is in her character (or something like that) and advised her to build her self esteem.
I can't help to agree with the surgeon because I feel that inner beauty lasts through the lifetime, whereas appearance is only temporary. One day, I will become an old man and my external beauty will be gone, save for my inner beauty, my character. I can still be a cheerful, helpful, kind-hearted, friendly and wonderful old man.
Of course then external beauty is also important but the way I dress myself, carry myself and charisma depends on the image built by my inner self that in turn brings it to reality.
You know, I always had this philosophy that my life is like a movie. The only difference is I am the Lead Actor (the hero of the story "My Life"), Producer (can choose my heroin, friends, pets, villain if I want to, etc.), Director (my inner self directs how I express my emotions, etc.), Costume Designer (choose my clothes), Architect (create my own home and environment), Accountant (take care of the finances of my life's movie), and so on and so on. (This is a different topic altogether and shall share with you in my posting next time).
In short, take a mirror, look into it. Admire the handsome/beauty who is in the mirror. Appreciate and be graceful that you are beautiful...
P.S. This part is for my Bro. Also in the movie, the lead girl, Hanna let go of the expectation of her Producer who she loved so much to be her boyfriend. In the end, the Producer who's the one chasing her...Make room for your heart to receive something better...

Applied Knowledge Is Power, But Without Knowledge I'm Powerless
"POWER" - I have been encountering this word for the last 3 days. Read about it in the blogs, read about a topic in Law of Success and experiencing "Applied Knowledge Is Power, But Without Knowledge I'm Powerless" - WOW!
Let me share my experience here. I requested from the client for a schedule for construction of a pipeline for a project that I was assigned, last Friday. But the reply on Monday was I am supposed to come up with the schedule for him. Fine, this is usual. The only thing is I do not have clear knowledge what is the construction tasks involved for the construction. I felt quite helpless, like a kid left behind by parents in a busy shopping center. I understand truly "No knowledge = No Power".
Luckily I also have the knowledge from One Minute Millionaire, "Knock And It Shall Be Open" (or Ask And It Shall Be Given)and I applied it by seeking help from my very experienced colleague on how the pipes are to be constructed. Today, I have some knowledge of the pipe construction and was able to prepare a preliminary schedule for discussion with my manager. Great! I have some knowledge and applied it to come out with a schedue! AHA!
I felt that my power have grown a little and I am able to contribute. Although I need to refine and change some of the elements in the schedule, I am contented today at the end of the work.
I am sure with experience, my power will grow and increase, in proportion with my ability and contribution!
What knowledge about yourself have you learnt recently to empower yourself?

I Am Sorry Mother Earth
Since I started work in the new company, MP3 player and a book had been a good companion to me, travelling in the MRT for 1hr 15mins.
2 days ago, as I looked up in the MRT, I realised that 40% of the passengers are also having an MP3 for companionship. Then this thought strikes me: with the advancement of technology, we, humans are using more and more energy. Battery in particular, since the beginning of walkman and handphones, and thus the birth of mobile entertainment has become the main source of energy.
Mobile entertainment and phones, once luxury, now have become necessity and norm. Even primary school students own an MP3 or handphone.
Now imagine, how many batteries we discard in a year for mobile entertainment. I couldn't keep count of how many batteries that I had discarded.
This disturbing thought prompted me to find how to safely dispose used batteries. In the search I learnt that the chemicals and toxic from batteries (so many type of batteries, from alkaline to lead batteries for cars) may seep into ground water bodies from the dump sites. The consolation is that batteries makers have a committee and today, batteries are made with almost no mercury, and less harmful substance. Yet, we are still polluting.
Other than that, I could hardly find any info on how to properly and safely dispose of used battery after an hour or so...The best 2 website I could find are:
1. There's a hobby club that have a forum and discuses many way to reuse used batteries, modifying laptop batteries to be used on toys, etc. Interesting reading but I do not recommend it because modifying the batteries may cause harm like poisoning yourself or spoil your electronic equipment.
2. There's a blog started by a teacher also voiced her concern about disposing used batteries. In this blog, there's a comment left by someone stating that certain NOKIA centers in Singapore (I remember there's one in Causeway Point, Woodlands) do collect back spoilt handphone batteries and other batteries. Thank you NOKIA!!!
That's about all the info I can find on disposing used batteries. Unsatisfied, I found the website of a renowned battery maker. I e-mailed them if they have a collection point for old batteries and the reply is that they do not have collection points because the pollution level is not classified as danger thus not required by NEA in Singapore to provide a collection point (sounds like a justification to me!)
So, does anyone have any suggestion or know something on how to dispose used batteries safely? Please kindly share..

I Feel Great Dating My Wife Again
Last night I dated my wife to watch Pirates of The Carribean, At The World's End. The show was funny and enjoyable.
This outing brings back the feeling of excitement in the early part of our relationship. The process of calling her in the afternoon to confirm the time, getting the tickets and looking forward to the movie.
Who says it's no more romantic after married? I think not, because I think marriage is not the end of dating, it's just a new chapter of "dating". I don't want to be one of those guys who doesn't mind carrying shopping bags when in courtship and after married, what happens? The wife have to drag the husband to go shopping with her. In fact, dating helps me keep the blissful feeling, to be able to enjoy the happy moments together.
My wife and I watched Pirates of Carribean, Black Pearl while we were in courtship, Pirates of The Carribean, Dead Man's Chest after we were engaged and now Pirates of The Carribean after we were married and all are happy outings...I don't know about my wife, but I felt contented after the movie because we did not spent much time on our own after the wedding. Let's go out more yeah!
What else can we do to re-ignite the romance in our life? Maybe you can give me some suggestion.
P.S. There's an extra clip in Pirates of The Carribean, At The World's End after all the acknowledgements

What I Eat Is What I Get?
Have you heard of the food that you take affects the energy level that you have? I have heard about it but I was skeptical until today.
I have been having lunch with my colleagues for the past 1 week or so, and mainly we visit the Kopitiam nearby. Usually, I have rice with gravy, together with 2 vegetable dishes and 1 meat dish as I believe that I shall eat a balance of protein and fiber. I have problem keeping awake from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and time was moving in slow motion.
Today we visited another Kopitiam and I decided to have vegetarian food because the queue was very long for economy rice, and other noodle stores. The stall also sells unpolished rice! I was thinking “Great! Let’s taste if the unpolished rice here is as good as the organic restaurant in KL.”
Since I am having vegetarian, I also thought I should go green today so I avoided choosing the normal vegetarian fried stuff and flour dishes. I had green stuff and a soup to go with the unpolished rice (good for my diet since I have not been losing a single kg after going to TKD trainings and jogs! Since it is way far from my target, it’s frustrating man!).
As I am preparing to leave and call it a day, I suddenly had a realization that I am still energetic even though I slept late and woke up early and I didn’t feel the usual drag in between 1.30pm to 2.30pm just now. In fact I had completed my task given to me this morning and I felt productive!
I am going off in about 15mins time and I have the zest to type up something for you to read…I think I am going green again tomorrow!
So my friends pay attention to what you eat. I definitely will today onwards...

Well Done KL!
I went for a jog this morning. I had not been jogging for quite some time it’s dificult to start the momentum.
Once the body has warmed up, the feeling of freedom, with the breeze brushing over the face, felt so good. But the feeling only last for about 10mins. The next 10mins was quite a struggle as my acid in the body from Friday’s Taekwondo training made it’s presence felt. This is where determination was required. I made a point to run non-stop at least for the next 10 mins.
Alas, I gave up at 25mins, 5 mins short of my target. I brisk walked for another 10mins, and I remembered Joe told me about Rock Lee from Naruto. He’s the “genius” of hard work. Because he has no talent in special ninja technique, he rely on his hand-to-hand combat techniques to carry out his missions. He always set unrealistic targets for himself, and if he does not achieve it, he’ll set another crazy target because he could not accomplish what he had promised himself to do, like 2000 punches or 1000 push-ups.
I thought it was funny while I was walking, but I follow his foot step to set another target: I’ll climb the staircase to the top of the block instead of taking the lift. This give me extra motivation and I sprinted back to my block.
I climbed 16 storeys of staircase and I must say the last 4 storeys are tough. Luckily, I manage to complete because while at the 12th storey, I was telling myself, if I canot accomplish this and give up, I’ll do 100 push-ups.
At the end, I felt satisfied with the achievement and I know I deserve the rest…Great job KL.
P.S. This phuysical and mental challenges are norm in Taekwondo training, thus it is said that martial art trains the determination and mind of its practitioners. And that’s why I like going Taekwondo training!

Secrets To Having A Great Relationship
After reading the recent postings from my friends on how wonderful my relationship is with my wife (thank you for the acknowledgements because the feedbacks let us know that we are on the right track), I suddenly remembered that one of my friend asked me about a month ago, if Sylvia and I have special methods that make us more loving each day. I shared some of the things here with her and some of the things I just added in this blog for the purpose of sharing.
I guess I am blessed that Sylvia and I had attended Money & You program in 2005. The program has given us much awareness, distinction and most importantly the tools to "orbit in love". We had discussions about expectations, visions and some other uncomfortable topics including money and we use the jargon and terms we learnt from the program to help us to arrive with some resolutions. I had made the decision to propose to Sylvia only after Money & You and I am so sure that we can "grow up" (grow old seems to be not a very powerful affirmation, hehe) together.
For this, I thank Money & You and all the people who bring this program to Singapore and Malaysia, Executive Directions and Globe Success Learning. To know more, you can visit www.exec-directions.com/mnu.php (from this site, you can sign up for a free seminar to get a a litle taste of what the program is like, orgnised by Executive Directions in Singapore and KL) or www.excellerated.com (the original website of Money & You, where you can read more about the program)
On top of that, we are also blessed to have met a great mentor who constantly guide us with profound questions to think about. Some of the questions he asked are so simple but given thought it gives much to think about, like for example he asked us this before we tied the weding knot: "What does marriage mean to you?". For this, I must acknowledge John for your love and support. You can find out more on his work (very interesting way to make a living and add value) at http://www.johnstamoulos.com/en/index.html
I guess self improvement and development plays a big part. I believe not only in love and romantic relationship, but also self improvement and mastery in all areas of life.
Sylvia and I had developed a communication system. Whenever we feel mad about the other partner or want some changes from either one, we write a note on that, and why we feel that way. This works especially well for uncomfortable topics or when emotionally charged situations because when writing, the other person can't rebut, justify or lay blame and it gives time to read fully and think through the situation before replying the note. Don't take my word for it, test it out with your spouse or friends.
We use this method so that whatever issues can be discussed and not kept under the carpet till the matter get worse. Sometimes, for some emotional issues, we also do sincere sharing through knee-to-knee sharing (another Money & You technique, very powerful!) and listen actively to each other.
For happy "issues" or matters, we fet two bottles to collect folded stars with written messages of appreciation for each other whenever we felt that we are grateful for the things that we have done for each other. Whoever is the first to get the bottle filled up will get a gift from the other party...fun and it's rewarding to see the stars adding up.
Last but not least, this is a ritual that we have, which is not even agreed upon verbally nor written. It just happened automatically after we stayed together. We give each other a KISS, every morning and before sleep. Any kisses other than that are bonuses.
There you have it, our secrets to our great relationship...Hmmm, maybe can write into a book. Maybe can be a best-seller like "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" (a great book by Dr. John Gray that I strongly recommend). Have a great weekend loving!

How Do You Know He/She Is The One For You?
Well, I do not have the one answer to let you know if he/she is the one for you. Perhaps, it may be different from one person to another. But if you were to ask me how do I know if Sylvia is the one for me?
I can tell you that there's no logic and it's all feelings...Feelings like this song.
For my friends and readers who are looking for love, all the best!
P.S. Remember to manifest and write down what type of girl or man you desire, in terms of look, personality, habits, wealth, family background, etc. before the feelings take over the logic! Last note "May you be the right person to enter to your dream partner's life too!"

Sufficient Leading To Abundance
I had learnt about the concept of "Sufficiency" from the book "Soul of Money" by Lynette Twist about a month ago.
Practising sufficiency in my daily routine have been a great experience so far. Some of the area that I practise sufficiency is like when I wake up, I tell myself "I have sufficient sleep" gives my day sufficient energy, even though I wake up early.
I also practise sufficiency in my meals, especially taking dishes from mixed rice stall. I only take amount sufficient for my consumption for lunch, dinner and tea break. This helps me alot in weight control for I do not over eat.
In short, with practising sufficiency helps me to feel contented, blessed and grateful with almost everything I have, yes, including money! Try it for yourself! Just tell yourself, "I have sufficient money for my lunch today!" (with the feeling of contentment and with no worries about how little or how much money you have in the wallet - that's the detail)
Yesterday, I have a distinction! I was taking MRT and transferring to bus to my office (has been trying out new routes to see which is the most efficient way, or shortest time to the office). When I was alighting from MRT, I saw the bus that I wanted to board left...how frustrating especially when I only have 10mins to reach my office to clock in and I estimate the bus travel time is 10 mins and walking from bus stop to office takes about 3mins to 5mins (that's the usual first reaction, but hold on and read on).
So I told myself (in my head or else the crowd in the bus stop will be thinking, "What's up with this crazy guy?") "I will have sufficient time to reach my office in time". Now, this affirmation has been usual for me in my practice of sufficiency and has not failed me so far.
Then this thought came to my mind. I have been sufficient so far, why not think abundance? So I re-phrase my affirmation, "I will have sufficient time to reach office 5mins earlier".
The outcome...I was late for 2mins when I was in the elevator! Yet, I wasn't frustrated nor impatient as sufficiency affrimations have been working well for me and I have faith in it.
When I was at the office door, I saw 2 other colleagues waiting outside the door and they told me the door was still locked because the person with the key wasn't here yet. By the time the door was open, I reckoned I was about 3mins early! (I did not check my watch although my "C" is high). I gave a silent thank you for the affirmation that works!
I was a little late but the keyman is later than me! So relatively, I am early...Savvy? (Must have picked it up from Captain Jack Sparrow, kekeke)
Test out sufficiency and abundance mentality for yourself! I challenge you to do it for 1 month and see the miracles of it!
Note: At the beginning, you may encounter distractions but push on! Maybe our sub-concious is testing our conviction to the new thing. All the best!

1 Distinction, 2 Occasions In 2 Days
This is an interesting occurrence, things happened for a reason and not randomly. I have received this one distinction, two times in two occasions within two days. The distinction is:
The amount of ENERGY and ENTHUSIASM by one individual spreads and brings positive effects!
I had personally experienced it at the Taekwondo training session I participated on Tuesday, and so has my dear friend experienced it in his workplace!
My experience
A junior was leading the Taekwondo training when I arrived at the dojang (training hall in Korean, Karate practitioner uses dojo, savvy?). At the end of the session, the junior who was leading the training came up to me and thanked me for coming. I asked why so and his reply was that the group becomes livelier and more energetic when I when I joined in the training with them.
In response, I told him that the amount of energy and enthusiasm that a trainer put in the training is reflected in the rest of the participant. I further asked him, how many percent of energy and enthusiasm he put in when conducting the training that day. He reluctantly said less than 100%. The good thing is he admits it and promise to put in more effort. Hmmm…Am I a good coach or what?
My friend’s experience
My dear friend was very excited when he shared with me, about 2 weeks ago that a lady had offered him a post for Assistant Relation Manager for another bank. He was flattered and yet was humble enough to admit his experience in the banking industry is insufficient and tactfully declined the offer, although he is aiming for that position.
When I met him last night, I saw the same enthusiasm and sparkle in his eyes again. He shared that the leader of the main dealer team from the bank he is working now offered him a position to be part of dealer’s team. Again, he was flattered and again he tactfully declined because that is not the work he wanted…yet, although it is a glamorous offer (at least from my perspective judging from the way he described the situation because I am not familiar with banking industry).
I shared with him the distinction I had and that his consistent high energy and enthusiasm he brings to work everyday had drawn positive attention, and there may be some who had been influenced with his manners. Hence, doors of possibilities welcome him. He gave it a thought for a moment and agreed with the distinction. I am happy for him!
So what percentage of energy and enthusiasm are you in when mending your business or work?

Miss Me?
I am back finally to blogging, after a break of more then a week.
Lots of things had happened for the past week...I went for an interview, went for a short holiday in KL and Cherating, celebrated my Dad's birthday, got an invitation for a friend's wedding and alas started my new job as engineer. Thanks Jean and SCG gang for celebrating my success in the interview! Haha...I am so blessed
So are you interested to know what have I learnt over the week?
Prior to the holiday, I was finishing "Attractor Factor" by Joe Vitale. I find that the new job that I land on is too good a coincidence. I believed that I had attracted it using the 5 steps prescribed in the book. I felt that the book just come at the right time...I am blessed and grateful to have job and that I have the capable to carry out efficiently.
My first day of work was very slow paced, too slow to my liking. I learnt about the company's system, via ISO90001 and did a medical check up. My friends in business, there is an important learning here...Because I have no assignment and clear direction, 1.5 day was wasted, including today. I had not contributed much. The good thing is I took the oportunity to read on engineering stuff that I had lost touch. So entrepreneurs, have a handbook to orientate the new staff and make sure they are able to contribute immediately. Every man-hour wasted is money paid to staff, even not contributing to the business.
I will change things tomorrow as my moto is "Service Above Self". I look forward to another day so tht I can be productive.
If you have not a book to read, find "Attractor Factor" and start attracting your wishes!

DREAMS
I found this postcard given to me about 5 years ago from a senior. I would like to share it with you because it is simply inspiring. So here it is:
DREAMS
Some people see things as they are and asks why.
Others dream things that never were and ask why not.
What your mind can conceive and believe. It can be achieved.
So, ladies and gentlemen...What are your dreams?

I just realised how movie affects our subconscious too. I was watching alot of cold case and csi and I get paranoid and scared easily. btw, do you know which title is happy movie?
Have you watched the movie The Labyrinth? It is a classic that me and Sylvia love. At the time the movie was made, computer graphic was not common, so there is alot of puppets used. David Bowie also sang nice songs. It was entertaining and have a good message.
From the movie, I learnt to cherish my family and friends more, before they are gone. Well, this is one movie I recommend.
Do you have a favourite movie?

Walking Like A Duck
After 1 and 1/2 year of break, I finally got to join in the training for Taekwondo. It's a full, solid 3 hours of kicking, sparring (non-contact) and jogging. The effect... I am walking like a duck today!
I re-discovered why I love Taekwodo and this club so much! It started off with some catching up with the familiar juniors. And all of them seems to be very interested if I am back in Singapore for good...Yes, I'll be in Singapore and I will definitely join the training more often.
Then comes the warm-up and training. To my surprise I can keep up with the training, but half way through, my lungs started working overtime. I can feel the heat like the coal burning in the train to keep the train to move faster. This is a feeling that I have not felt for a long time, and I know that I am not as fit and flexible! I want to be back in shape!
The training ended with 2.4km run routine around the track. This is the part that I love because it is at my own pace and to enjoy the fresh air. But I almost give up at 1.8km. I had to use my will power to push through and complete the run! Using my will power to complete the training was also why I got hooked to the training of this club. It trains my mind and discipline! Definitely not for the weak hearted and low determination...
After that, we usually train overtime, practising our own kicks. I did reverse kick (or spinning back hook) and only manage to do 5 times and my head started to spin and daze! 20 times per leg was common 1 and 1/2 year ago!
Man it felt good after he workout, bathed and enjoyed a well-deserved dinner! I am definitely coming back for more trainings.
Although I am walking like a duck and my legs muscles are loaded with lactic acid as I am writing this posting, I know that my legs will be toner and sexier...haha!
I am so blessed and grateful that NTU still welcomes me and Sylvia! We're back!

We're back!

Protect Your Subconscious When Watching Movie
I had marvelous time watching Spiderman 3 with the fantastic group of SCG! It's really a blessing and privilege to be in this gang.
The movie makers had been doing a great job in graphics, cinematography, costumes and also great lessons in life. There are few major lessons in this show, but here's something that you may want to take note of so that your conscious mind can screen things through before going into subconscious mind.
One major thing that I would like to point out, that the producers may not even aware of is, the bad guys are rich. The Goblin and his son is super rich and they are the portrayed as villain of the movie. If I am not aware and this info goes into my subconscious without screening, there's a good chance that I will sabotage myself so that I stay poor and be the good guy. Probably just as poor as Peter Parker/Spiderman if my hero is Spiderman.
Secondly, super heroes have poor relationships in their love life most of the time. Remember that relationship is part living a fulfilling life. And in the movie, Spiderman always have problems with Mary Jane. Probably to add in the drama to spice up the show, but not knowingly, the writer is "telling" the movie goers that you may not have good relationships if you are good.
These two themes has been quite common for almost all the super hero movies like Batman can't seem to have a relationship with the girl he likes. Same for Superman with Louise Lane.
And the list goes on. I mean, of course we can enjoy the movie and the drama but just be aware of it. Because with awareness comes choices.
To do a candid check on myself, when I was little, my favourite was Superman, luckily. I said luckily because Superman has a supportive family. In my teenager years, I am quite clumsy, like Clark Kent I guess. I always seem to do something wrong, bump and break stuff, etc. etc. And I have big plastic spectacles like the one Clark wears. Hahaha. Looking back it's quite funny. But I am aware now, and I release this clumsiness and nerdy look.
That's so much about me and my super hero that I can relate to for the time being. So what's our super hero when little? Be aware...

The Best Birthday Present
The best birthday present whom a dear friend of mine, Joe received was lots and lots of love from the close friends of Sweet Crazy Gang (SCG) just a few days ago. I am not elaborating the whole event here as the special occasion has been passionately and enthusiastically reported in the rest of the gangs' blogs.
What I feel like saying is that from this surprise party, I had also received from Joe his demonstration of his true friendship and TRUST in all of the SCG gang. He had trusted whole-heartedly and hold all our lies and acting (of course for a good purpose) true until he walked into his room. I am truly touched when I saw his expression when he saw the whole gang there, cramped in the dark and stuffy room, just to give him our best gift! His gratitude and happiness at that moment had infected me and made my stomach knotted and giggles that I can't seem to stop until all of us had left his house!
And I am amazed. Truly amazed that the present Sin Yan and Sylvia had came up with. I can feel their love and passion flowing through the decoration of Joe's room! And the ultimate present that money can't even buy, i.e. they published the best-selling book by Joe for Joe, especially with the thought of helping Joe to visualize the publishing his best-selling book in the near future! Wonderful and beautiful job girls!
To Joe, Thank you for your trust and friendship. And again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Are You Attracting Or Being Attracted?
"Am I attracting or being attracted?"
This is the question that caught my attention while watching The Secret fot the 5th time, even though this sentence/question does not even exist in the movie itself. I wonder if someone's been planting this seed of thought.
There's this part that says everything in this worlds is moving, constantly! So if I am not attracting or moving the events, experiences and things I want, other people are attracting me to do things or contributing to the advantage of what he/she wants. To illustrate my point, I share with you an example. Although I do not think of attractting bills, banks, credit card sales persons, telecom companies, etc. are attracting me to use their products and pay them. Got it?
Reflecting on the things that I have and value most, I actually attracted them without even realising it until The Secret had been revealed. And the universe give me exactly what I wanted. The Secret works!
So I made a decision at the end of the show to attract more than being attracted. And I can do this actively by simply writing down things I want through affirmations in my diary. The diary just takes in whatever I write and gives no judgement on what I write. The best part is it's confidential because it does not speak, unless someone reads it. But then I am responsible over my diary.
Do you have a diary yet? Go and get one and experience the change!

What Blogging Had Done To Me??!!
I started to post actively on my blog for the last week and I am totally hooked!
It's like a ritual for me to spend 1/2 hour reading my friends blog daily and then recall the wonderful moments or not so cool experience that had happened on that particular day that I would like my blog's readers to benefit and craft my postings. By reflecting on my experience, I am able to draw lessons from good/bad experience more objectively.
When I type, I usually just let my fingers tap the correct words from on the keyboard, just holding to the "magic" moment of the day...Once the title is written, my mind just wandered with ideas and keep my fingers busy. I guess this helps in practicing my left and right brain coordination? Hehe...
I also realised that I appreciate my time, experience and reflected more on myself. Being grateful and appreciative spreads to other habits that I have, for example I now eat slower and appreciate the taste of my food more. With my mind looking for experiences to share, I create empowering experiences so that I can share with my friends through my blog, daily. Like today, I have nothing to do and I just take out The Secret to watch so that I get more distinction and share it in my blog (you must read my next post on this...)
I actually take it as writing my diary. Yes, and my new habit includes keeping a diary beside my bed, to note down lesson(s) that I learnt that particular day at night and to write gratitute, affirmations and ideas in the morning.
All in all, I am very happy and blessed of this new habit. I thank my wife and SCG friends for creating such wonderful blogs that arouse my interest to join in the fun!

My New Moto: Service Above Self
Service Above Self. This is a moto that I learnt from being the Secretary of Interact Club in Secondary 4. This is a great moto that give our club a vision to get out of our comfort zone to help the less fortunate. It helped the memebers to put in their heart to carry out charity tasks.
I have not really paid attention to this line until recently when helped out in the logistics in Money & You. I discovered that the moto gave me more energy, strength and enthusiasm to help the participants.
In this last few days I had decided to adopt this moto to my work and future works. So far so good. It had given me joy and satisfaction with what I do. At the minimum, it kick my lazy bum and contribute my knowledge to my friends. I started going the extra mile to meet, listening and exchange knowledge with them, which I am usually passive about.
I had spent my time with a friend who needed emotional support and I know with this moto and intention, I will not fail to help her. In fact I believed that I had somewhat lifted her spirit because when I met her to show her The Secret today, she actually take action on my advise I gave yesterday! It feels very good.
Previously in my engineering job, I had adopted the attitude of learning. "Learning" was my moto, therefore my outcome is that I learnt alot but was not satisfied with my own performance. I also feel a lack in myself in terms of leadership because more than often I do not get things done my way (like a student learning, the teacher always have the last say...), so the architects, supervisors and contractors get things done their way, and I felt the quality could be better. I was a whimp heh..But things are changing with my decision and improvement daily!!!
So what is your moto or mission statement?

Return To Innocence
My wife love this song so much that it's on her blog page. After my meeting with 2 friends whom I discuss and exchange our learning on books, audio tapes, website about spiritually frequently, I heard this song on CD on my way back and appreciate the lyrics.
I think that this song have a deeper meaning, even to the extend the part...(how do I describe) "Hai ya yai o ai yai ee ai..." (I think you'd know which part) also sounds like a chant of Sharman healer, to me. Haha.
So I decised to search the lyrics out and share with you this song/poem (to me).
Return to Innocence by Enigma.
Love = Devotion
Feelings = Emotion
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence
Don't care what people say
Follow just your own way Follow just your own way
Don't give up, don't give up
To return, to return to innocence.

Hectic Weekend
TODAY was a hectic day.
It started off with a breakfast meeting with a friend. Nothing much, just lending my ears to listen out the challenges and confusion in life that she faces. Just to let her know that she has a neutral friend who does not judge and to feel safe to let things out. As I was listening to her story, I felt that it's best for her to watch The Secret. SO I made an appointment to meet her tomorrow evening to show her The Secret.
When the meeting was ending, my Mom called, asking for a lift. Sure, I thought, it's Mother's Day afterall. Fetched my parents from Amcorp Mall and headed home. My brother's watching Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift. I joined in to enjoy the fast cars, cinematography (did I spell this right?), babes and the music. Enjoyed the show except that the story line's a liitle shallow.
After the movie, me and brother go to buy some food for the Mother's Day gathering at Grandma's house. Enjoyed the vast variety of food - from home cooked otak-otak to KFC, Yong Tau Foo to satay. We even have Malay food. As I listen to the conversations of my auntie and uncle, suddenly I realised that they are all "coffee talk" which is of no importance. In any case, I am just glad to be there, at present with all of them.
After that I went home and watch the last match of English Premier League football. Quite exciting as the bottom clubs fight to get out of relegation from the Primier League.
Ended the day with this blog posting...So this is how I spent my Mother's Day, full of activities...
I am blessed and grateful to be with my family today and a friend who trust in me.

Dedicated to My Lovely Wife
Heard this song while thinking of you...
Specially for you...
Do you have a special song for your special someone?
Let them know NOW! Dedicate it through radio, sing it yourself, do whatever it takes..and DO it NOW!!!

My Last Day
I have ended my service in EAP KL and I feel that there is so many possibilities opening up for me. I feel blessed and grateful to have this opportunity to start a branch in KL. To have one year of precious time with my family in KL...And foster a very strong relationsship with my wife, working together.
I am blessed and thankful to have met Jerome and Wendy.
This was the "magic" moment that I had experienced in the last 30 minutes in the office. The rest of the colleagues had left and only me, Jerome and Su is there. While Su was busy preparing her work for tomorrow's new program in KL, I was packing up my stuff. Suddenly Jerome asked to sit with him for awhile.
He started to tell me that there's no need to rush to clear the stuff and acknowledged me and Sylvia for helping to set up the office. He shared his problems and explained that it is tough in real world and business and sometimes he too feel the pressure and heat.He also shared that he constantly asked more of me so that I get out of comfort zone and grow to be a better person. He asked me what are my plans and aspirations. And that he wished Sylvia's business will be a success!
The discussion ended with a hug....1st time I got a hug from Jerome, initiated by him.
Well, I am just thankful that I had been his apprentice for a year and felt that I had learnt alot and ready to take up a new challenge.
I do not know if Jerome will be reading this blog. In any case, THANK YOU Jerome.

Specially For My Beloved Dear Dear...
I read my beloved wife's blog last week, and I wanted to post a comment for an article she wrote. I did not know how to publish the comment that time.
I guess I just post the reply in my blog. This way the reply will be more meaningful...
"Dear, reading your article about searching for your space and fly like an eagle reminds me of the song by John Denver. And I want you to know that I support you in your journey of entrepreneurship because I have faith in you, and that you will soar. Not only that, I also have faith in your partners because you guys have the same contextualization from M&Y, share a similar vision and share the same passion.
"So soar and fly as high as you want and rest assure that I will be there for you, for I will be the parachute behind your back.
"Play full out and participate 100%. I love you."

Teacher, Please Don't Kill My Creativity!
This posting is for you Bro!
After the great weekend, life is back to normal and things settled down a little. As usual I was supporting the preview yesterday night and in one of the session, the speaker asked "What are the obstacles that are stopping you from becoming an entrepreneur?"
One of the obstacles is "Fear of Failure" and the speaker was sharing that fear comes from conditioning. When we were young, when teacher asked a question, all the kids put up their hands and shout "Teacher! Teacher! Call me!"
And when the teacher calls you, and you gave the wrong answer, other kids laugh at you. Teacher will call you "Stupid!" and stuff like that.
This session remind me that my buddy asked me to share my similar story on blog and this was how it goes...
I was in Primary 4 and we were given assignment to read up on how was rain formed. I admit, I was lazy and did not read it...When the teacher asked "Who can explain how rain is formed?" and I was hoping that the teacher won't call me. Like I said Law of Attraction was so powerful, and the teacher called me to explain!
I remembered reading some of the material and I answered, "First the sun heat up the water from sea, lake and river and the water evaporate and raise up to the sky." (So far so good...)
"Then the water collect together and form clouds" (The teacher and the class was impressed but that's all I know...and my creativity kicks in!)
"And then when thunder strikes, the thunder hit the clouds and break the clouds. The clouds burst and down comes the rain!"
At this point the whole class laughed and I thought to myself "S**T!!!"
The teacher knew that I did not do the assignment and I stood outside the class for the rest of the period! Come to think of it it was funnnnnny but to the 10 year-old me, it was embarassing and felt like I had committed a very sinful crime.
It was not until Money & You that I attended 2 years ago that helped me alot with my self-esteem.
So to my teacher friends, "Please do not kill the creativity of children by punishing us."
Last but not least, I release the experience and forgive myself. I forgive my teacher. WOOOSSSHHH!!!
Have you any similar funny experience(s) that left you feel embarrassed? Just know that the teacher are doing their best to educate us and thats the only method that they know is effective...Forgive them and bless them.

Ask & It Shall Be Given
WOW! This weekend surely cures my craving for fried chicken wings.
My new colleague in KL is a vegetarian, so lunch and dinner for the past 2 months has been very healthy. Then, I was thinking about my favourite chicken wing store in Boon Lay market on my way back to Singapore to organize an event over the weekend and I asked myself "Hmm...wouldn't it be nice to have supper at that store this weekend?"
And so I was having a great time organizing the events with close friends and it happened that my friend stays near Boon Lay market and I was to send her home after the event, which ended later than expected. Yes! My chance to eat Power! Nasi Lemak's chicken wing. I was thinking "Ask and it shall be given! Hehehe."
When we reach Boon Lay market, to our diamay, the queue was so loooooong! So the gang went on to other stall. I had forgotten to change SGD, so i went to draw SGD from the ATM nearby with my colleague. Then her light bulb lighted! She said we can just ask someone in the queue to buy for us since we are only buying chicken wings and it shouldn't take a long time. I replied "Good IDEA!"
I walked up to 2 ladies, 3rd in the queue and asked their help to buy 4 pcs of chicken wings...and they said "Why us? Will the queue behind mind?" (in Mandrin).
My reply to them was "I don't think the couple (who are Malays) behind us, having a good time chatting mind."
So we get our chicken wings! ASK & IT SHALL BE GIVEN!!!
The next morning, I have more chicken wings for breakfast because the banquet at the event served us Nasi Lemak with chicken wings! And it taste yummy as well!
Wow! This time I get more than I had asked for...I feel so grateful and abundance.
So, what have you asked for lately?
Hehehe."

Control/Repeating Drama
HAVE you noticed in your life, a particular event that have similar situation and is tied to a similar outcome? I have read Celestine Prophecy and this situation is described as control drama and recently I have learnt from a respectable mentor about this as "Repeating Drama".
Control Drama repeats itself continuosly even without my knowing until I had gained some awareness through books and workshops that I had attended. I have identified about 4 Control Drama that are not supporting myself in further improving my life...I feel grateful and blessed to have gone through these dramas and have the awareness to identify them. I am also blessed that I have a mentor that asks more out of me, and so on my path to attain higher self-mastery.
I am grateful and blessed. I forgive myself and release these dramas...
Can you identify your repeating dramas?
